Jerry Bremer

I just finished L. Paul Bremer's book "My Year In Iraq" which is a first person narrative of his time as the US Ambassador to Iraq and leader of the CPA. It is a good review of the events from 2003 to 2004 from his perspective and reminded me of many issues which I need to revisit. Like the Iraq Constitution (see last post to my blog). All in all it is a easy read and has a few insights, like the fact that he suggested to the Bush whitehouse to surge troops, something they, at the time did not want to do. But as we all now know they have done. We are at about 130,000 troops in Iraq according to the media.
