"Children"

We are all aware that Arabs treat males better than females. One interesting fact I just read is that the Arab language does not have a word for "child". It has a word for son and a word for daughter but none for children. What affect does this have on the Arab culture? How does it manifest itself in daily life? Most of the rest of the world values it children as their future. Arabs value sons. What a waste of human potential.
