Air Travel to SWA

The flights from Tucson, AZ to Kuwait International really tires me out! From the time I checked into the Tucson International Airport until arrival at the Kuwait International Airport was 28 hours elapsed time! This time I flew from Tucson to Minneapolis (2 hour lay over) then onto Amsterdan (5 hour lay over) and then a reasonable 5 hour flight to Kuwait. I think it would be a lot easier on me if I stopped half-way over and spent the night somewhere. Interesting note is that the Amsterdam airport has a casino for any of you travelers wanting a way to pass the time.
Well thats all for this post. Please make comments! I need the human interaction.

AME Info

This site claims to be the "ultimate Middle East business resource." I just found it so I thought that I would list its URL here for future reference. http://www.ameinfo.com/

Map of Southwest Asia

Southwest Asia is a vast area as you can see from the above map. I will be spending the majority of my time in the middle of SWA in a country called Kuwait. On my last trip to Kuwait I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel most of the time and at the Sheraton for a couple of days. This upcoming trip, leaving next week, I'll be staying on a military post.

"Hotel" Afghanistan

This is where I stayed durning my first trip to Bagram, Afghanistan. This is tent 7 and I lived here for a little over a week. At least we had heat in the evenings. I got to test out my new sleeping bag.
This photo was taken on my first trip to SWA since 1998 and is at a military airport in Kuwait. I was getting ready to fly to Afghanistan.

Getting Ready

It is April 22, 2006 and I am preparing for my next trip to Kuwait. Part of the preps was to establish a blogspace. I called it SWA Travel Log as it will contain my thoughts from my travels to Southwest Asia over the next couple of years. I plan on inviting my family and friends to this blogsphere.
